The Basics
- Your puppy has been “free grazing” (feel free to move them to a regular am/pm schedule)
- Food & water is available 24/7
- Your puppy eats Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream Grain Free food. We recommend transitioning to adult version at 16 weeks
- Stainless Steel bowls are cleanest for your puppy
Recommend harness (vs collar) for comfort with leash - Dog Treats are ok but don’t worry if its too soon (they are not super interested at this age right now).
Mat or blanket for them to lay on/with - A few toys to keep them occupied especially once they start to teethe

Training
- Your Puppy has been working on potty training and is almost there
- Stay consistent with your words, location frequency and praise
- Consider a bell by the door to aid in potty training
- Your puppy has been on a sleep schedule between 10pm-6am for consistency and night sleep training
- Transitioning to a crate is favorable but minimize stuff in the crate (FYI they also love snuggling with you in bed)
- They are very smart(when they are being stubborn) and can do well in training courses
- Beauregard VIII (Navarro College Mascot) is one of our dogs and he passed all his mandatory training!
Medical/Check ups
- Your Puppy comes with paperwork showing type and date of vaccinations and deworming given by R3Ranchbullies
- Per contract, please take your puppy for a well-check within 5-7 business days for a starting clear bill of health
- Recommend discussing micro-chipping with your vet for peace of mind
- Spaying or Neutering occurs around 6 months
- If your puppy has an eye irritation or exhibits cherry-eye, consider Teramycin ophthalmic ointment (OTC)
- PYO is a great skin helper with overall skin health and yeast control (prescription)
- Make sure you have your Vets all clear before introducing to dog parks or other dogs with unknown vaccination history. Visits with only trusted/known fur-friends
Grooming
- Your puppy is coming home with a fresh bath, cut toe nails and clean ears
Bathing should be infrequent (once every 3-4 months) unless they get muddy or have a noticeable odor - Foam/waterless Shampoos can be a great intermediate cleaning
- Keep your puppies eyes and under nose rope as dry as possible. Simple paper towels work or Malecetic wipes
- Desitin is a good product to wick water away from under nose if needed
- Consider natural balms for keeping their paws, skin and noses soft and clean
